On February 13 and 14, Le Concert Spirituel was at Notre-Dame du Liban in Paris to record his future album around Orazio Benevolo's Missa Si Deus pro nobis with Alpha Classics.

For the 30th anniversary of Le Concert Spirituel and after Striggio's Mass for 40 voices, Hervé Niquet wanted the audience to experience choral singing in a different way: 8 choirs that respond, contradict, complement and harmonize each other.
The singularity is the bursting of the choir into 8 choirs of 4 different voices, synonymous with technical prowess requiring at the same time precision, virtuosity, and sound power.

This collective adventure around the voice took shape in 2018 with the next release of the album "Benevolo".

With the enhancement of a rare repertoire and his love of "monumental" projects, Hervé Niquet signs a new recording full of promises. Under the artistic direction of Hervé Niquet and Manuel Mohino (sound engineer), the 32 singers and 16 instrumentalists once again demonstrated their expertise in this repertoire.

This programme is supported by the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation, whouse aim is to encourage the promotion of choral singing.
